RSS backs Govt on J&K, Land Bill |
Prime Minister Narendra Modi government and the BJP leadership got a vote of confidence from the rightwing ideologue, RSS, also called the mother outfit for the BJP. RSS endorsed the move to form a coalition with the PDP party of Syed Mufti in Jammu and Kashmir. This would enable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah to give more time to the risk-fraught experiment to succeed. The RSS also approved of the Land Acquisition Bill, disregarding reservations expressed by saffron affiliate Bharatiya Kisan Sangh. RSS joint general secretary Dattatreya Hosbole said that while the parent Hindutva outfit was unhappy with actions and utterances of J&K CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, it wanted the high-cost move to work.
