RSS aims complete expansion |
India`s ideologue right wing organization, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has asserted that its prime objective was expansion of its support base. During a three day national convention of its officials, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat suggested that time was ripe for expansion of Hindutva base. Sarkaryawah Bhaiyyaji Joshi spoke about Sangh plans to reach the last possible village of India. After his third re-election, Joshi said that over the last three years RSS reached 55,000 of the total 650,000 villages in the country. Joshi said plans were to first reach different mandals, each comprising 10 -12 villages, and from there to reach villages. Sangh in its meeting supported the Centre but underlined that expansion was more important than challenging the Modi government wisdom behind issues such as Land Acquisition (Amendment) bill, FDI hike in Insurance RSS and Make in India. Affiliates like Bharatiya Majdoor Sangh, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh and Swadeshi Jagran Manch have been engaged in supporting or opposing some of those programs of Prime Minister Modi. The RSS had not abandoned the Ram temple issue, said Joshi, adding that the High Court had already ruled there was a temple (Ayodhya). The case was in Supreme Court now and they awaited the outcome of the judicial process.
