Panel on declassifying Netaji files |
The government of India has formed an inter-ministerial committee headed by Cabinet Secretary to review the Official Secrets Act in the context of the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose files. This committee will decide whether to declassify the documents related to mysterious disappearance of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The committee will also include officials from Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Prime Minister`s Office (PMO) departments. Netaji`s grand nephew met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Berlin and is understood to have raised the issue of declassification of all secret files related to the freedom fighter amid a row over snooping on the leader`s close relatives.
