Obama to visit Taj, miss Big B |
US President Barack Obama will have a tight three-day India visit starting January 25 for dialogue with India`s top leaders, visit the Taj Mahal but miss seeing Bollywood millennium star Amitabh Bachchan. Indo-US talks will focus on progress on key issues like defense and the civil nuclear agreement. Obama is the first US President to be Chief Guest at India`s Republic Day parade on January 26. Obama is accompanied by his wife Michelle and a team of senior officials. Obama will address a town hall. An advance U.S. team is finalizing security and protocol issues with Indian counterparts. Obama`s wife Michelle accompanied the U.S. president during their four-day trip in 2010 but the couple could not travel to Agra. Meanwhile, Bachchan is unable to attend the Republic Day parade. The superstar was invited but has other commitments. Big B is expected to attend some promotional events for his soon-to-release film, `Shamitabh`
