Congress, BJP on warpath |
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on April 19 unleashed a direct war on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government and dubbed the dilution of the land acquisition Bill as a bid to repay corporate houses that paid for Modi`s election campaign. Rahul`s frontal attack on Modi came at a rally, his first since his return from a 56-day sabbatical, billed as his re-launch ahead of taking over as party chief from mother Sonia. Rahul, who was joined by Sonia in attacking the government, set the stage for the Parliament session resuming on April 20 with the government ready to table the stalemated land acquisition law in the Lok Sabha.
