BJP picks Kiran Bedi for Delhi CMÂ |
Heat intensified for India`s upcoming elections in Delhi as the BJP party ruling the center picked to project first India female former top cop Kiran Bedia as its Chief Ministerial candidate. Pundits said Delhi will see a presidential-style face-off. Declaring that Bedi would contest the assembly elections, BJP chief Amit Shah said the party`s parliamentary board made a unanimous decision approved by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Bedi formally joined the party only on January 15.
