Pak army joins fight in Jadhav case |
A Pakistan military court tried, convicted and sentenced former Indian Navy man KulbhushanJadhav. International Court of Justice (ICJ) has stayed Pakistan execution of Jadhav. Now, reportedly the powerful Pakistan army will jointly fight the Jadhav case with its government in ICJ. The Pakistan military is known to have an equal say as the civilian government in national matters. Notably, a ruling party politician in Pakistan made the statement publicly at a time when tensions are running high between the Nawaz Sharif civilian government and the Pakistan army. Speaker National Assembly SardarAyazSadiq says the government and Pakistan Army will jointly fight the Jadhav case, reported Radio Pakistan quoting a speech the politician.
