Africa wish to learn doing dhanda from Gujjus |
Many Africans call Ahmedabad their home as they are pursuing higher studies there. The culture and lifestyle of Ahmedabad keeps them rooted here as these students feel that they could learn a lot from the business minded Gujaratis. Africans living here also feel that Indians have done wellwith doing business across all countries of Africa, yet African businessmen in India are almost nonexistent. For Africa to grow, more Africans need to be trained in India in the art of doing business and entrepreneurship skills. The comments precede the first-ever annual meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB) to be held outside Africa and hosted in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Prime Minister NarendraModi will inaugurate the meetings on 23 May and the event continues until 26 May. Speaking about the partnership between India and Africa, a Zimbabwean third year BA Psychology student from Gujarat University is reported to have expressed her views that Africa is definitely lagging behind in development. It`s time for Africans to learn business from Indians. Hopefully, the business partnership will help Africans gain that. Sariaka Nomen janahary of Madagascar, a third year BBA student, says ``Perception towards Africans is changing slowly. A partnership between India and Africa will help us learn, understand and respect each other.
