Raveena on MAATR |
With her upcoming film `Maatr` getting allegedly banned by Central Board of Film Certification, it has undoubtedly not gone well with Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, as she has hit back at the board saying women do not have any problem with her film. When asked about the movie being sent to the revising committee, the 42-year-old-actress said that what she has heard from the media is that a group of people, which included women , did not have any sort of issue with the film. She added the movie is specifically made for women and they are having no problem with it and so there is no cause for objection. Reports say that `Maatr` has been banned by the CBFC and the reason behind this alleged ban was the film`s violent rape scenes. Ashtar Sayed directed `Maatr` is an upcoming Indian revenge thriller, written by Michael Pellico and slated to release it on April 21. The makers have, however, submitted the revised version of the movie and CBFC will consider it for giving the certificate. Apparently, revised version will be treated as a fresh film. If they would have gone to tribunal they would have missed their release date and so they sent the revised version of the film for certification.
